Reality

These girls behind me in art class were dicussing the outcome of the Bachelor yesterday. On cue, every girl just gasped and had to join in. I have never seen this show; however, from the looks of it, the show seems degrading to women (when it is the Bachelor) and vice versa (when it is the Bachelorette). I never understood why this show was so popular. This man, or woman, obviously can’t find his match on his own, so just throw in a ton of desperate girls, or guys, and fix his predicament. While shows like this are being gawked at, there are children in Ethiopia with no food or clean water, girls in Greece being sold for their body, and boys in India being forced into violent gangs. I think its time things were put into perspective. Instead of putting all your energy into the admiration of a show, let’s live Isaiah 58 lives.

 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
   and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
   and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
   and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
   and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

“We love because he first loved us.”-1 John 4:19. I’m going to miss them as I move back to school. However, being separated from them does give me a chance to appreciate them more. I love my family, aren’t they the cutest??

Hope

I hope that one day the drama will stop. I pray that we can all learn to love one another and let go of the past. Why hold on to something when God has a better and bigger plan? Just sayin’ :)

Blessed

Coming to college is a completely different experience than I thought it would be. There are SO many positives ad blessings, I am overwhelmed by God’s amazing grace. The emotions you experience on a weekly basis are ridiculous but I am so glad God is making me uncomfortable so that I completely lean on Him and not my own strength.
All of you high schoolers, college is so much better than high school. The independence is incredible, the relationships are made on a whole new level, your maturity grows like there’s no tomorrow, and you never stop going.
All the hard work is completely worth it. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

I move into my college in 5 days! I know God has prepared me mentally and emotionally, but I am not packed at all! Ahhhh!
